How to adapt recipes to lower fat, cholesterol and sugar

Whatever your health goals are, adapting recipes to lower fat, lower cholesterol, and sugar is a good place to start. Where to begin– Take your favorite recipes and start experimenting by adapting them. Generally you can safely cut sugar by 1/4 cup, replace vegetable shortening with a non-hydrogenated alternative. Small changes = big results!
